We stepped out of the bright Greek sunshine into this church interior. They have a way of managing the lighting and decor to convey the feeling of sacredness, a place set apart from the ordinary concerns of daily life.

  • The New York Times has a great series of atmospheric shots of NYC. I'm very pleased to see a major newspaper highlighting art photography like this. The shots are mostly done in low light and with probably the most basic of cameras.
